Projects worth over Rs 85 lakh crore
The 50th meeting of PRAGATI, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given new impetus to the development journey not only at the national level but also in Chhattisgarh. PRAGATI is an ICT-based platform developed for proactive governance and timely implementation, making the project monitoring and resolution process more effective.
Over the past decade, projects worth over ₹85 lakh crore have been accelerated through the Pragati platform. This has led to timely progress across the country in various infrastructure, energy, rail, road, coal, and other sectors. These projects include several important projects in Chhattisgarh.
The meeting specifically mentioned the modernization and expansion of the Bhilai Steel Plant. This project was approved in 2007. Regular reviews and inter-agency coordination at Pragati meetings have given the project renewed momentum, resulting in rapid progress and targeted progress.
The modernization of the Bhilai Steel Plant has significantly increased production capacity.
