Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 241.50 crore for the Municipal Corporation area in Bhilai and said, “From the State Capital Region, Raipur, Durg, Bhilai and… will be completed one by one.”

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai on Tuesday (August 19) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 241.50 crore for the Municipal Corporation area in Bhilai. On this occasion, he announced Rs 20 crore for the new office building of Bhilai Municipal Corporation.

On this occasion, CM Sai said, “The entire region including Raipur, Durg, Bhilai and Rajnandgaon will benefit from the State Capital Region. This will accelerate development works and expand urban facilities. He said that all the promises made in the Atal Vishwas Patra issued in the elections of urban bodies will be fulfilled one by one.”

Citizens are getting direct benefits

He said that the government is giving full support for the development of urban areas. Urban facilities are being expanded rapidly. He said that the Good Governance and Convergence Department has been formed in the state to ensure good governance and accountability. Administration is being made digital and transparent in the entire state, which is directly benefiting the citizens.

5 thousand panchayats linked to the scheme

He informed that Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been started in 1460 gram panchayats of the state. In the next six months, 5 thousand more panchayats will be linked to this scheme. On 24 April 2026, Panchayati Raj Day, Atal Digital Seva Kendras will be started in all the gram panchayats of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Sai said that our government has fulfilled most of the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last 20 months. For the economic development of the farmers, 21 quintals of paddy has been purchased per acre and payment has been ensured at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal.

‘Financial assistance being given to women’

He said, “Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women are being given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month, which is benefiting more than 70 lakh women. Under the Deendayal Upadhyay Bhumihin Krishi Mazdoor Yojana, landless agricultural laborers are being given financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually. Under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana, more than 22 thousand devotees have visited Ayodhya so far.”

Rs 470 crore approved

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said, “After the formation of the government in the state, Rs 7,000 crore was approved for the development of all urban bodies in the last one year. Under the Nagarotthan Yojana, funds are being given for planned and well-planned development in urban bodies. In the last 18 months, Rs 470 crore has been approved for development works to the Municipal Corporation of Bhilai alone.”

He said that the government is committed to make the cities clean and beautiful. As a result of this, seven urban bodies of the state have received the National Cleanliness Award for the first time. Whereas among the cities with less than 20 thousand population, 58 cities of Chhattisgarh have been awarded.

“Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” will be run in Chhattisgarh, tribal families will be benefited from the schemes

On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, “Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan” will be run in Chhattisgarh from 17 September to 2 October 2025. The objective of this campaign being run in many states across the country including Chhattisgarh is to ensure effective implementation of government schemes in tribal areas with the spirit of service, dedication and good governance.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, tribal families are to be benefited with basic facilities, hence this work should be given top priority. Under this campaign, 28 districts, 128 development blocks and 6,650 tribal dominated villages of the state have been included.

More than 1,33,000 cadres will be prepared at the village level – Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that more than 1,33,000 cadres (NGOs, volunteers, panchayat representatives, youth and service organizations) will be prepared at the village level for the operation of the campaign. These cadres will play an important role in the implementation of schemes related to basic amenities like housing, roads, health, education, employment and planning of village development.

He said that under the campaign, training programs will be organized in a phased manner at the state, district, block and village level. “Aadi Seva Kendra” will be established in each selected village, which will become a center for the delivery of government services and encourage public participation.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that during the entire campaign, ‘Seva Parv’ and ‘Aadi Karmayogi Seva Abhiyan’ will be conducted through ‘Aadi Seva Kendra’. Local public representatives will also play an important role in this work.

He said that as per the detailed guidelines laid down by the Tribal Development and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Backward Classes and Minority Development Department, NGOs, CSOs and local volunteers will be selected and trained in the districts. Along with this, “Tribal Village Vision 2030” of the villages will also be created.

During this period, complaint redressal camps, public awareness campaigns and “Tribal Service Day” will be organized.
