Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday took stock of the flood situation in the state. He said that 21 districts of the state are affected by floods and relief and rescue work is going on rapidly in all of them. The Chief Minister distributed relief material to the flood-affected people in Auraiya and also gave cheques to the beneficiaries of various schemes.
Aerial survey of flood-affected areas
CM Yogi conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas between Agra and Auraiya. After this, he distributed relief material at Auraiya Collectorate. He directed the officials to expedite the relief work and provide all necessary facilities to the disaster-affected.
Teams deployed for relief and rescue operations
Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that these districts have been affected due to excessive rains in the last 10-15 days. He said that ministers in charge have been deployed in every district for the efficient conduct of flood relief operations in these areas.
Teams of PAC flood unit, NDRF and SDRF have been deployed for relief and rescue work. 16 teams of NDRF, 18 teams of SDRF and 31 teams of PAC flood unit are working in flood affected districts.
Participated in ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign
In Auraiya, the Chief Minister also planted an Ashoka tree under the tree plantation campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. This visit took place after the programs organized in Agra.
