What did CP Joshi say?
In a letter written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP MP CP Joshi has said that Rahul Gandhi’s statements on foreign soil are in no way correct as a responsible Indian citizen. The MP said that Rahul Gandhi’s statements can affect the internal stability of the country and the security of the borders as well as international relations because he is misusing the post of Leader of Opposition.
Demand for resignation from the post of Leader of Opposition
MP CP Joshi has said in his letter that Rahul Gandhi’s statements are not political but purely fall under the category of anti-national activities, which makes his conduct suspicious. Such baseless and tarnishing statements cannot be seen under the ambit of freedom of expression, in such a situation it becomes necessary that Rahul should resign from an important post like the Leader of the Opposition.
