The CJI’s bench will hear the Kolkata RG Kar Hospital rape and murder case in the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am. The CBI will file a status report in this entire case on Tuesday. Also, the Bengal government will inform the court about the doctors’ strike. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud will hear the case.

The Bengal government will give information on security measures for doctors

In the hearing to be held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the West Bengal government will give detailed information about the security measures for the protesting doctors and the facilities provided to the CISF personnel deployed in the hospital.

The CBI will also present its side

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the rape and murder case of a female trainee doctor, will inform the Supreme Court about its investigation, which also includes the arrest of former hospital principal Sandeep Ghosh and police inspector Abhijit Mandal. Both are accused of tampering with the scene, violating official procedures and misleading the investigation. Ghosh is already in CBI custody in connection with financial irregularities in the hospital.

Let us tell you that recently the Supreme Court had directed the West Bengal government to ensure the safety of doctors. This includes installing CCTV cameras, building toilets and making other necessary improvements. The state will have to report to the court about the steps taken for the safety of the medical staff.
