CM Devendra Fadnavis arrived at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s house late on Wednesday (11 December) to brainstorm on the cabinet expansion in Maharashtra. It is believed that in this meeting, the final formula of how the new cabinet of Maharashtra will look can be approved. The cabinet is to be expanded on 14 December before the start of the winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature.
If sources are to be believed, the issue of division of ministries has not been resolved yet after the swearing-in of the CM and two deputy CMs. Which party will get which ministry, there has been a lot of discussion on this in the last few days but the final decision has not been taken yet.
Ajit Pawar is in Delhi
This meeting is taking place at a time when Deputy CM Ajit Pawar is also in Delhi. Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has not come on Delhi tour. The swearing-in ceremony was held in Maharashtra on 5 December.
There is a problem regarding these ministries
Home Ministry, Finance Ministry, Urban Development and Revenue, these are the departments regarding which there is a problem among the parties of the Mahayuti. All three parties of the Mahayuti, Shiv Sena, BJP and NCP want big departments for themselves. If sources are to be believed, many things will become clear after today’s meeting. CM Fadnavis will also meet PM Narendra Modi on Thursday.
