Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to the people to take care of public property. He has said that if a person is seen damaging public property, he should be stopped and if he does not listen, his video should be made and made viral. After this, the government itself will do the work of putting up posters of the accused and compensating him for the loss. During this, he also explained the importance of respect for elders and responsibility towards the society.
Yogi Adityanath said, “We should be accountable to the nation, no property belongs to the state, it belongs to the society. If a person destroys the property of the society, you can make a video on your mobile phone and make it viral. The rest, the government is there to teach him a lesson and recover the money by putting up his posters.”
Understand accountability towards the nation
The UP CM said that public properties do not belong to any one person or society. These properties are for everyone. In such a situation, everyone should understand their responsibility towards them. We should not damage public property. If someone else is seen doing this, he should be stopped. If he does not listen even after being stopped, a complaint should be made. Yogi said, “Today everyone has smartphones in their hands. If you see someone damaging public property, make a video of it and make it viral. We are there to make them compensate for the loss by putting up posters of these people.”
Yogi government has recovered money from rioters
The Uttar Pradesh government had recovered the damage caused during the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in 2019-2020 from the people who vandalized it. The Yogi Adityanath-led government had implemented a policy to recover from protesters to compensate for the damage caused to public and private property during riots and demonstrations. Under this, the government issued notices and started the process of confiscating property in some cases. However, the court later put a stay on it.
