Congress Meeting: There may be a big change in Gujarat Congress, Congress has called a meeting of all the District Congress Committee Presidents of the country in New Delhi on 27-28 March and 3 April

Congress Meeting: Congress party called a meeting of all its general secretaries and state in-charges at the new headquarters Indira Bhavan today i.e. Tuesday, 18 March 2025. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge chaired this meeting, in which strengthening the organization in Gujarat was discussed. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that 33 in-charges and in-charges were present in the meeting. He told that the party’s convention is going to be held in Ahmedabad on 8 and 9 April, which was discussed.

Meeting of District Congress Committee Presidents called

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “A meeting of all the District Congress Committee Presidents of the country has been called in New Delhi on 27-28 March and 3 April. This meeting will be held after 16 years, in which about 700 people will come. The objective of this meeting is to strengthen the District Congress Committee (DCC). The aim will be how to bring the organization to the center. In today’s meeting, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge talked on this issue for 3 hours.”

Changes can happen in Gujarat

Since the last several assembly elections, Congress has been trying to regain its lost ground in Gujarat. After the statement given by Rahul Gandhi regarding Gujarat Congress in the past, speculations started being made that a big reshuffle can happen in the state. Assembly elections are also going to be held in Bihar this year. In such a situation, when the party leaders meet in the working committee meeting, the strategy for Bihar elections will also be discussed.

CWC meeting on 8 April

Congress leader Mukul Wasnik said, “Gujarat has played an important role in building an independent India. We are going to hold a convention there again. The CWC meeting will be held on 8 April. The proposal will be finalised in the AICC convention and we will present it in the convention on 9 April. Gujarat is an important state for the country. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, sees it as a guide for all Congress people. It was decided in Belgaum that the convention should be held in Gujarat. It should not be linked with the politics of Gujarat.”
