Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Central Government’s internship scheme and alleged that the promise of Rs 1 lakh crore internship has remained another “jumla”. Sharing the Lok Sabha figures, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the scheme has failed to fulfill its promises and accused the government of misleading the youth. In his post on X (earlier called Twitter), Rahul Gandhi wrote, “₹1 lakh crore jumla – Season 2! Even after 11 years, PM Modi has the same old slogans and the same old figures. Last year, one crore internships were promised from ₹1 lakh crore – the same promise this year too!”

Rahul Gandhi wrote that PM Modi has no new ideas left. He wrote, “In this government, youth will not get jobs, but only Jumlas.”
