Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge addressed people in his home district Kalaburagi and said whether you vote or not… attend the funeral.

In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, leaders of all parties are seeking votes from the public in different ways. However, Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge has made an emotional appeal to the public which has become a topic of discussion. Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the people in his home district Kalaburagi, has said that if people feel that Kharge has worked for the people of Kalaburagi then at least they should attend his funeral. Let us tell you that in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held on 14 Lok Sabha seats of Karnataka on 26th April. At the same time, elections for the remaining 14 seats will be held in the third phase i.e. on May 7.

trying to make an emotional connection
On Wednesday, Mallikarjun Kharge was in his home district Kalaburagi. Here he tried to create an emotional connection with the people. He told the people, “Whether you vote for us (Congress) or not, but if you feel that I have worked for Kalaburagi, then at least come to my funeral.” Kharge further said that if you do not vote for the Congress candidate, I will feel that there is no place for me in Kalaburagi now and I could not win your heart.

Kharge’s son-in-law has got the ticket
Congress has fielded Kharge’s son-in-law Radhakrishna Doddamani from Kalaburagi seat for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Here he will face the current BJP MP Umesh Jadhav. Let us tell you that Congress President Kharge had become MP by winning from this seat in the year 2009 and 2014. However, he had to face defeat in 2019.

I was born for politics- Kharge
In Kalaburagi, Mallikarjun Kharge told the people that he was born for politics. Whether they contest elections or not, they will try till their last breath to save the Constitution and democracy. He said that he would not retire from politics. He said that retirement is from position but one should not retire from one’s principles.
