Following the Delhi blasts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) today. The Cabinet passed a resolution condemning the Delhi blasts and paying tribute to those who lost their lives. The Cabinet stated, “The nation witnessed a heinous terrorist act perpetrated by anti-national forces on November 10th, involving a car bomb explosion near the Red Fort. The Cabinet directs that the incident be investigated with utmost urgency and professionalism, so that the perpetrators, their accomplices, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without further delay.”
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval attended the meeting. The investigation into the Delhi blasts and the reports of security agencies were discussed. Following the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah left the Prime Minister’s residence. The Prime Minister held a separate meeting with Home Minister Shah for approximately half an hour. This meeting took place after the Cabinet meeting.
The perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Earlier, upon returning from Bhutan, Prime Minister Modi went straight to LNJP Hospital, where he spoke to the injured. During his visit to LNJP Hospital for about 25 minutes, Prime Minister Modi said, “The perpetrators will be brought to justice.” He also said in a post, “I went to the hospital to meet those injured in the Delhi bomb blast. I pray for everyone’s speedy recovery. Whoever is behind this conspiracy will be brought to justice.”
Export Promotion Mission (EPM) approved
On the Cabinet decision, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The Union Cabinet has approved the Credit Guarantee Scheme for 100% credit guarantee coverage for exporters through the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited. The Cabinet approved the Export Promotion Mission (EPM). Its objective is to strengthen the country’s export competitiveness.”
