Delhi: After the landslide victory, who will the Bharatiya Janata Party hand over the chair of Delhi Chief Minister, the market of speculations is hot about the chair, what is the formula of BJP to decide the CM

After the landslide victory, speculations are rife about who the BJP will appoint as the Chief Minister of Delhi. More than a dozen names are being discussed in political circles for the CM post. However, as per the BJP’s pattern of selecting the Chief Minister so far, it is being said that a new name may be announced. In the last one year, the BJP has announced new Chief Ministers in 6 states.

Interestingly, the age factor has been important in announcing the names of the Chief Ministers in all these states. The BJP has appointed only 50-60 year old MLAs in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Haryana and Maharashtra.

For example, when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav got the CM’s chair, he was 58 years old. Similarly, the age of assuming the chair was that of Vishnudev Sai (59) of Chhattisgarh, Bhajanlal Sharma (58) of Rajasthan, Mohan Manjhi (53) of Odisha, Nayab Singh Saini (54) of Haryana and Devendra Fadnavis (54).

Average age of BJP Chief Ministers is 55
72-year-old Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is the oldest Chief Minister of BJP. The average age of BJP Chief Ministers is 55 years. Pema Khandu of Arunachal is the youngest Chief Minister of BJP. Khandu is around 46 years old. Similarly, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is 51 years old. Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand is 49 years old.

The average age of Congress Chief Ministers is 63 years. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is 76 years old. Similarly, Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is 60 years old. Revanth Reddy is from Telangana and is 55 years old.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is 80 years old. Vijayan is currently the most senior Chief Minister in the country. Chandrababu Naidu is the oldest Chief Minister in the NDA alliance. Naidu is 74 years old.

Delhi: Who fits in the age formula?
The Bharatiya Janata Party has won 48 seats in the Delhi Assembly. The party has 15 MLAs whose age is between 50-60 years. If BJP implements the 50-60 years formula in Delhi, then only one of these 15 MLAs can get a chance.

Among the MLAs whose age is between 50-60 years, the prominent names are Rekha Gupta, Jitendra Mahajan, Ashish Shud, Harish Khurana and Kailash Gehlot. According to ADR, there are 47 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly whose age is between 41-69 years.

Similarly, there are 9 MLAs whose age is between 31-40 years. The age of 14 MLAs is between 61-80 years.

If BJP uses this age formula in choosing the Chief Minister of Delhi, then big contenders like Parvesh Verma, Vijendra Gupta, Mohan Singh Bisht and Om Prakash Sharma will be out on their own. While Parvesh is under 50, Vijendra and Mohan are over 60.

CM selection by the end of this week

It is being said that the CM will be finalised by the end of this week in Delhi. On the day of the election results, BJP in-charge Baijayant Panda had told reporters that the name of the CM will be finalised within 10 days.

After this, BJP national president JP Nadda himself is meeting the MLAs one by one. It is being said that soon there will be a meeting of the party legislature party, in which the new name can be announced.
