Virendra Sachdeva Targets Arvind Kejriwal: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has targeted Arvind Kejriwal. He said that Arvind Kejriwal has already been rejected by the people of Delhi and now he is afraid of being out of Punjab politics as well. This is the reason why he is trying to re-establish himself there. Virendra Sachdeva said, “Despite being caught in one scam after another in Delhi, Kejriwal kept calling himself honest. Till the assembly elections held on 5 February 2025, he kept beating the drum of his honesty, but the people of Delhi, understanding his corruption of 10 years, showed him the way out of power.”
‘Exposed in Delhi, now repeating the same story in Punjab’
The Delhi BJP President said that the truth of Kejriwal’s alleged honesty in Delhi has come to the fore, but now he is trying to repeat the same story in Punjab. He said, “When Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann talked about drugs and corruption in front of the media today, they also knew that the public was laughing at them.”
Virendra Sachdeva said that when Kejriwal again promised to make Punjab corruption and drug-free, the people there remembered his old election rallies of 2021. At that time, along with Bhagwant Mann, he had said that he would end drug addiction from Punjab in six months. Now, even after three years, he is asking for more time.
“Now questions are being raised across the country”
The BJP president said that when Kejriwal is making a new promise to make Punjab corruption-free, it is surprising not only the people of Punjab and Delhi, but the whole country. “For the last three years, he was roaming around the country claiming that his governments in Delhi and Punjab are the most honest. But when his reality came out in Delhi and the public ousted him from power, now he is trying to regain his lost credibility in Punjab as well,”
“Like Delhi, AAP will be wiped out in Punjab too”
Virendra Sachdeva said that Kejriwal should understand that just as the people of Delhi ousted him from power in the assembly elections, in the same way the people of Punjab will also oust him and Bhagwant Mann from power in 2027. He said, “The people of the country have now started considering AAP as a ‘disaster’ and in 2027 Punjab will also be free from this disaster.”
Political analysts believe that after losing power in Delhi, Kejriwal’s entire strategy is now focused on Punjab. But BJP is adopting an aggressive stance regarding this. The party says that the lesson taught by the people of Delhi will be repeated in Punjab as well. BJP is constantly raising questions on the functioning of the Kejriwal government and is now preparing for the 2027 elections. Now it remains to be seen whether Kejriwal is successful in improving his image or like Delhi, the people of Punjab will also reject him.
