A sensation spread after the bodies of a woman and her two daughters were found in a decomposed state from a house in Molarband area of Badarpur police station area of Delhi on Wednesday. Delhi Police said that a 42-year-old woman and her two daughters were found dead in their house in Molarband in south-east Delhi on Wednesday. Initial investigation suggests that they committed suicide due to financial constraints. He said that all three decomposed bodies were found after neighbors reported a foul smell coming from their house. No suicide note has been recovered from the house yet.
White foam was coming out of the mouth
The police received a PCR call from Molarband on Wednesday afternoon, in which the caller told that a strong stench was coming from House Number 43 on the second floor in Lane Number 16, where the mother and daughters lived. Soon after this, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Station House Officer reached the spot where they recovered the bodies of 42-year-old Pooja, her 18-year-old daughter and younger daughter, who was about 8-9 years old. A police officer said that white foam was coming out of the mouth of all three, which suggests that they had consumed some poisonous substance.
The bodies were 4-5 days old
Preliminary investigation revealed that the bodies were about four to five days old and financial crisis could be a possible reason behind the alleged suicide. At the same time, locals said that the family had not paid the rent for the last two months, due to which they might have decided to allegedly commit suicide. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
The woman lived alone with her daughters
The police officer said that preliminary investigation shows that Pooja lived alone with her daughters and her husband was not seen for the last few years. He said, “We came to know that her husband works as a driver in Gurugram, Haryana. But someone also told us that he died a few months ago. We are verifying all the facts.” He said that the investigation also revealed that her daughters were not going to school for the last few months. He further said that police teams are also checking CCTV footage to find out where the woman was last seen and from where she bought the poisonous substance.
Police investigating
He said, “The bodies are in a completely decomposed state. Crime teams will visit the spot again to collect more evidence from the spot. So far no marks of attack have been seen on the bodies. The post-mortem report will reveal the cause of death. The officer said that further investigation is underway in the case and police are probing all aspects including financial constraints.
