Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered to launch a massive campaign to improve the safety of the city, crowded areas and shelter homes. In this campaign, special priority has been given to the safety of women.
Discussing with senior officials in a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister directed to immediately fix 4,000 dark spots across the city. These places are considered unsafe due to inadequate lighting, especially for women. The work of cleaning and adequate lighting of these areas is being done rapidly.
129 mobile dark spots were also identified in the meeting, where the mobile network is weak or not at all. The Chief Minister directed telecom companies and concerned departments to improve network connectivity in these areas, so that immediate response can be given in case of emergency.

She wrote that every suggestion and complaint serves as valuable guidance for us. Clear instructions have been given to the officials to ensure timely resolution of all the suggestions and complaints received.
CM Rekha Gupta wrote that our goal is not only to take decisions, but to make every Delhiite an active participant in the policy making and development process. Public participation is the strong foundation of good governance. With the cooperation of all, we are constantly moving forward with the resolve to build an inclusive, capable and developed Delhi.
