Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta says Centre approves special assistance amount of Rs 821.26 crore to strengthen national capital’s infrastructure

New Delhi: The central government has given special financial assistance of Rs 821.26 crore to the Delhi government. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has given this information. CM Rekha has said that the central government has taken an important decision towards making the national capital a truly ‘developed Delhi’. Under this, a special assistance amount of Rs 821.26 crore has been provided to the Delhi government. The special thing is that 66 percent of this amount has also been released immediately.

The Chief Minister said that this amount will be spent on schemes related to public services like health, education, drinking water etc. Rekha Gupta expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leadership for approving this amount and said that with his guidance, the country’s capital is moving towards becoming a truly developed Delhi.

Money will be spent in these areas

Rekha Gupta informed that the Union Finance Ministry has approved this amount of Rs 821.26 crore for the development of Delhi under the ‘Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment for States’ (SASCI) 2025-26. This special assistance amount received from the Central Government will be used to develop the infrastructure of Delhi. Only by developing the infrastructure will the all-round development of Delhi be possible. The Chief Minister informed that out of this, an amount of Rs 716.00 crore has been approved for 33 much-awaited infrastructure projects under Part-I, which includes schemes in public service sectors like health, education, housing, transport, water resources and electricity.

66 percent amount released immediately

Chief Minister Gupta has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the fact that 66 percent of the total approved amount (first installment) was released immediately, paving the way for the early start of the projects. The Chief Minister said that apart from this, an additional amount of Rs 105.26 crore (under Part-III) has been approved for the projects related to the Priority Corridor of MRTS Phase-4.
