Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav on Saturday said that the agreement the party had made with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Lok Sabha elections was a ‘big mistake’. Congress today announced ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ for Delhi. Under this, it promised to give free health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh. Regarding this scheme, senior Congress leader and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, “Just like everyone got it in Rajasthan, we will do the same here. People are discussing it, it should move forward in the same way here too. This will be a game changer. The chances of our government being formed in Delhi are increasing. The situation in the country is bad. There is an atmosphere of hatred and polarization in the country. Congress takes all castes and religions along. Gehlot said, “Chances of Congress government formation in Delhi are increasing. I believe it is necessary for the country as well.” He also said that the proposed scheme reflects the party’s commitment to meet the healthcare needs of Delhiites. The party’s election campaign slogan “Hogi Har Zaroorati Puri, Congress Hai Jaruri” was prominently displayed during the announcement, highlighting the Congress’ “promise” to ensure essential services for all.

Gehlot said that the proposed scheme aims to provide comprehensive health coverage to families, which will cover medical expenses for critical illnesses, hospitalization and treatment. Voting for all 70 seats of Delhi Assembly will be held on February 05 and the results will be declared on February 08.
