New Delhi: Delhi Police has given Z category police security to the newly appointed Chief Minister Atish. Delhi Police has currently provided Z category security to Atishi at its own level. If the Union Home Ministry upgrades this security, then the police will upgrade Atishi’s security as per the order of the ministry. According to the protocol, the Chief Minister of Delhi is entitled to ‘Z’ category security cover on the instructions of the Home Ministry.
So many policemen will be deployed in the security of CM Atishi
Now 22 Delhi Police personnel will be deployed in the security of Atishi. Delhi Police on Saturday provided security cover including a pilot in her convoy. ‘Z’ category security also includes PSOs, escorts and armed guards. A police source said that after assessing the threat, her security may be further reviewed by central agencies on the instructions of the Home Ministry.
Kejriwal still has Z Plus category security
When Arvind Kejriwal was the Chief Minister of Delhi, he had Z Plus category security, however, Arvind Kejriwal still has Z Plus category security. According to Delhi Police sources, Arvind Kejriwal will have Z Plus category security for 30 days. After this, Delhi Police will provide further security to Kejriwal as per the order of the Home Ministry.
Aatishi took oath as CM on Saturday
Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi took charge as the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi on Monday. She took oath as the Chief Minister on Saturday. Now the session of Delhi Assembly will be held on 26 and 27 September. Atishi has kept the charge of 13 departments that were with her in the Kejriwal government, which include education, revenue, finance, electricity and PWD.
After taking charge, he said, “I will work as the Chief Minister of Delhi for four months in the same way as Bharat worked by placing Lord Ram’s sandals on the throne. Arvind Kejriwal has set an example of dignity in politics by resigning.
