Action under these sections
Delhi Police have informed that a case has been registered at the Kotwali Police Station under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and the BNS in connection with the explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station. A Delhi Police team has also reached LNJP Hospital. The team will interview the blast victims and attempt to piece together the sequence of events. NHAI has also been asked to investigate the toll plaza to obtain further information, including CCTV footage.

What did the blast investigation reveal?
Initial investigations revealed that there was no crater at the site of the blast. However, the explosion was so powerful that the vehicle in front was blown to pieces. There was no smell of RDX. Preliminary investigations suggest that the blast was so powerful that it appears to be a terror attack, and that the target was not a vehicle or a location.

According to sources, the initial investigation suggests a terrorist attack. However, a definitive conclusion can only be made after examining the explosives. The blast was of high intensity. The blast appears to be linked to the module seized in Faridabad. The blast may have been engineered using a different type of explosive and chemical. Security agencies are also questioning Dr. Muzzammil and Dr. Adil regarding the blast. Investigating agencies believe the blast may have been hastily orchestrated following the news of Muzzamil and Adil’s arrest.
