Delhi Crime: Delhi Police has given a big blow to the drug trade of Delhi by arresting 6 notorious drug suppliers from Model Town in a major operation. Police have recovered 17.24 grams of smack, a scooty, a Grand Vitara car and eight mobile phones. This gang was active in many parts of Delhi and was on the radar of the police for a long time.

On March 24, 2025, Head Constable Sajjan Singh and Head Constable Pawan were patrolling, when their eyes fell on a young man riding a scooty (UP-14CK-5474), who was roaming around suspiciously. When the police stopped him on suspicion and searched him, 8.24 grams of smack was recovered from him.
During interrogation, he told his name as Abhishek Tedha (21 years, resident of Gur Mandi, Model Town, Delhi). When the police interrogated him strictly, he revealed a big drug network, which was spread in various areas of Delhi.
Police reached the root of the network, 5 more arrested
A special team was formed under the leadership of Model Town SHO Inspector Pawan Kumar Meena. During intensive interrogation, Abhishek Tedha told that he used to buy smack from Rajendra, Lale, Pehalwan and Abhay and sold it at high prices in Gur Mandi and Lal Bagh. After this, the police raided Bharat Nagar and arrested five more smugglers. 9 grams of smack, seven mobile phones and a Grand Vitara car (DL3CDC-1312) were recovered from them, which was used for drug smuggling.

According to the Model Town Police, this is just the beginning. Delhi Police is adopting a zero tolerance policy against drug abuse and is conducting raids on a large scale to destroy the entire network of drug mafia. Police has appealed to the public that if they get any information about drug dealers, they should immediately inform the police helpline.
