The Delhi government can start registration for Saheli smart card from the month of October. Through this pink card, women and transgenders will be able to travel free in Delhi buses. These cards will be valid for the whole life. With the creation of this card, it will be easy for women to travel in Delhi without any interruption. No card will be issued directly by DTC. After registration, KYC will be done on the DTC portal. After this the cards will be issued. The government will not charge any fee, but banks can charge a small fee for these cards. Women in Delhi still get the facility of free bus travel, but right now they are given pink tickets.
