Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh conducted a surprise inspection of Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP) on Friday to assess the ground situation. During the inspection, the Minister closely inspected the hospital’s medical facilities and medical equipment. He stated that all 80 ventilators at LNJP Hospital are fully functional, with 18 ventilators reserved for emergency patients.
Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar inspected the emergency department, OPD, and OT, as well as all wards at LNJP Hospital. He assured the doctors, medical staff, patients, and their families that the government is committed to providing quality and world-class medical facilities to the citizens of Delhi. He has issued strict instructions to all hospital managements to immediately resolve any issues that arise when patients arrive at the hospital.
Politics surrounding the issue of non-functional ventilators

222 Additional Ventilators Available
Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that 222 additional ventilators are available under central procurement. If any government hospital requires additional ventilators, they can avail of them from this reserved quota. The minister stated that false and misleading information has been presented regarding non-functional ventilators, which is factually incorrect.

MRI and CT scan machines will be completed by January 2026
Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh also stated that the procurement process for MRI and CT scan machines for government hospitals is underway. By January 2026, all government hospitals in Delhi will be equipped with MRI and CT scan machines. The Health Minister emphasized that this initiative is part of our government’s comprehensive vision to make Delhi’s public healthcare system the best in the country.
Targeting the AAP Government
Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, targeting the previous government, said that after 11 years of negligence and mismanagement, it will take some time to restore order. Previously, government hospitals faced a shortage of doctors and free medicines for patients. The situation was so dire that expired medicines were found in many hospitals. Our government has ensured that such irregularities do not occur and that all Delhi government hospitals, including Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, have an adequate supply of essential medicines.
