Delhi IAS-IPS Transfer: After the formation of BJP government in Delhi, the Union Home Ministry made the biggest IAS/IPS reshuffle ever, IAS officer Ashish Chandra Verma was transferred to Jammu and Kashmir.

Delhi IAS-IPS Transfer: After the formation of BJP government in Delhi, the Union Home Ministry on Friday (May 16) has made the biggest reshuffle ever in the Arunachal Pradesh Goa Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. The Home Ministry has transferred several top bureaucrats of the Delhi government, including Additional Chief Secretaries and a Chief Secretary, to other states and union territories.

Ashish Chandra Verma, a 1994 batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh Goa Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, serving as Additional Chief Secretary of Finance and Revenue Departments of Delhi Government, has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir.

Additional Chief Secretary of Environment and Forest Department Anil Kumar Singh has also been sent to Jammu and Kashmir. While Principal Secretary of Vigilance Department Sudhir Kumar has been sent to Mizoram. Singh is a 1995 batch officer, while Kumar is a 1999 batch officer.

Special Secretary Home K M Uppu (2009 batch) has been shifted to Puducherry and Special Secretary Transport (2008 batch) to Andaman & Nicobar. Meanwhile, 2005 batch officer Vijay Kumar Bidhuri (who served as divisional commissioner in Kashmir) has been shifted to Delhi. While 2000 batch officer Dilraj Kaur will return to the national capital after her transfer from Andaman & Nicobar, where she had earlier served in various posts.

Other AGMUT cadre IAS officers shifted from Delhi are Chanchal Yadav, Vinod Kavle (both 2008 batch officers) and Naveen S L 2012 batch officers. 2012 batch officer Arun Kumar Mishra has been shifted from Goa to Delhi.

Other IAS officers of AGMUT cadre who have been transferred to Delhi from various states and union territories include 2012 batch officers Krishna Kumar Singh and A Nedunchezhiyan, 2009 batch officer Ramesh Verma and 2004 batch officer Pandurang K Pole. The reshuffle done by the Home Ministry includes the transfer of 40 IAS and 26 IPS officers from the AGMUT cadre.

A Ambarasu gets the responsibility of Principal Secretary of Home Department

The order issued by the Services Department said that 1993 batch officer Prashant Goyal, who was ACS-cum-Commissioner Transport, will now be the Additional Chief Secretary of Urban Development. 1994 batch officer Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, who was ACS of Irrigation and Flood Control and General Administration departments, will be the new ACS of Public Works Department. 1996 batch officer A Ambarasu will be the Principal Secretary of Home Department and has been made the new Principal Secretary of Services Department.

Nikhil Kumar appointed Health Secretary

Nikhil Kumar of 2002 batch will be Health Secretary and will also get additional charge of IT Secretary. Neeraj Semwal of 2003 batch has been given charge of Secretary Revenue-cum-Divisional Commissioner. Niharika Rai of 2008 batch who was Secretary of Finance Department will now be Secretary-cum-Transport Commissioner. Ravi Jha, Special Secretary to Chief Minister of 2011 batch will be Excise Commissioner of Delhi Government.
