There is a lot of excitement about the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi. An important meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party’s PAC was held today in which after discussion, the first list of party candidates was released. There are a total of 11 names in AAP’s first list. Aam Aadmi Party has also given tickets to many leaders who came from other parties. This also includes the name of Anil Jha, who recently left BJP and joined AAP.
Names of 11 candidates revealed
Brahm Singh Tanwar will contest from Chhatarpur
Anil Jha will be AAP candidate from Kirari
Deepak Singla will contest from Vishwas Nagar
Sarita Singh will be AAP candidate from Rohtas Nagar
BB Tyagi will be AAP candidate from Laxmi Nagar
Ram Singh Netaji will be candidate from Badarpur
Zubair Chaudhary will be AAP candidate from Seelampur
Veer Singh Dhingan will contest from Seemapuri
Gaurav Sharma will contest from Ghonda
Manoj Tyagi will be AAP candidate from Karawal Nagar
Somesh Shaukeen will be AAP candidate from Matiala
Tickets given to these leaders who came from other parties
Among the leaders who have been given tickets by Aam Aadmi Party, Brahma Singh Tanwar and Anil Jha had recently left BJP and joined Aam Aadmi Party. BB Tyagi left BJP and joined Aam Aadmi Party on 5 November. Zubair Chaudhary had left Congress and joined Aam Aadmi Party some time back. Veer Singh Dhingan also left Congress and joined Aam Aadmi Party a week ago. Somesh Shaukeen also recently left Congress and joined Aam Aadmi Party.
When will the elections be held?
Assembly elections for 70 constituencies in Delhi can be held in the month of February 2025. In the year 2020 also, assembly elections were held in Delhi in the month of February. Aam Aadmi Party won this election. The term of Delhi Assembly is going to end on 15 February 2025.
