Meanwhile, after Kejriwal’s resignation, Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have elected Atishi as the leader of the legislative party and Atishi had written a letter to Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena requesting him to administer the oath.
Let us tell you that after being released from jail on bail in the liquor policy case, Arvind Kejriwal had announced his resignation from the post of CM. He and the resignation of his cabinet members were sent to the President through the Lieutenant Governor on September 17.
Aatishi has been elected the leader of the legislative party
After Kejriwal’s resignation, a meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party was held. In this meeting, Atishi was elected the leader of the legislative party. Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi unit president Gopal Rai had written a letter to the Lieutenant Governor informing him about Atishi being elected as the leader of the legislative party.
After that Atishi also wrote a letter to the Lieutenant Governor. In that letter, Atishi has informed the Lieutenant Governor that she has been elected as the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Legislative Party. She urged the Lieutenant Governor to ensure the date for her swearing in as the Chief Minister.
Atishi may get Z Plus security
Sources say that after Atishi’s request, the Lieutenant Governor has written a letter to the President and the Union Home Minister. In this letter, it has been requested that Atishi be sworn in as the Chief Minister on September 21.
Meanwhile, according to information received from Delhi Police, Delhi Police can provide ‘Z’ category security to Atishi. According to a top police officer, the police will also review the security of outgoing Chief Minister Kejriwal, as he has resigned. At present, Kejriwal has ‘Z-plus’ security, under which one security personnel is provided with about 40 security personnel in a shift.
On the other hand, regarding Atishi, the officer said that according to the protocol, the Chief Minister of Delhi is given ‘Z’ category security. Delhi Police deploys about 22 security personnel in a shift for the security of a person who is provided ‘Z’ category security.
