Mayor Mahesh Kumar Meeting: Delhi Mayor Mahesh Kumar held an important meeting with the officials of the Public Health Department of the Municipal Corporation on Thursday (March 06). Corporation Health Officer and Deputy Health Officers of all 12 areas were present in this meeting. Deputy Mayor Ravindra Bhardwaj, Leader of the House Mukesh Goyal and Corporation Health Officer Dr. Lallan Ram Verma also attended the meeting.
Mayor Mahesh Kumar directed the officials to take strict action against illegally running spa centers, restaurants and Oyo hotels in Delhi. He said that due to illegal business activities, local people have to face many problems. Apart from this, these run without any approval and license fee, due to which the corporation loses revenue.
Many spa centers running without approval from the government
There are many such spa centers, hotels and restaurants running in Delhi, which do not have the necessary government approval. Complaints of illegal activities also keep coming in some of these places. The corporation receives complaints from time to time that wrong things are happening in some spa centers and many Oyo hotels are running without registration.
Apart from this, there are a large number of illegal restaurants in Delhi, which are operating without any health certificate and license. Such restaurants are not only violating the rules of the corporation, but it is also a threat to the health of the people.
Mayor Mahesh Kumar’s strict stance
Mayor Mahesh Kumar has directed the Public Health Department to make a concrete action plan to stop illegal business. He said that the corporation needs to increase its revenue so that better facilities can be provided to the citizens.
He said, “Curbing illegal activities is our priority. The Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi Municipal Corporation is working for the welfare of Delhiites. Our aim is to make the Municipal Corporation self-reliant so that there is no hindrance in any development work. ”
Illegally running spa centers, hotels will be identified
The Municipal Corporation will now identify illegally running spa centers, hotels and restaurants and action will be taken against them. Whoever is running without a license will be closed or will be asked to submit the necessary documents.
Delhi Municipal Corporation has taken such action earlier also. Last year, the corporation had shut down many restaurants, hotels and spa centers running without permission and for illegal construction. Now it remains to be seen how much this new action of the Municipal Corporation can stop illegal business in Delhi and how much it will increase the revenue of the Municipal Corporation.
