Delhi Fire News: More than 400 vehicles confiscated by the traffic police were burnt to ashes in a fire that broke out in the police storehouse at Nehru Place in Delhi on Thursday (3 April) afternoon. The officer said that an FIR has been registered in connection with the incident. So that it can be ascertained whether there is any conspiracy behind it.

According to the Delhi Traffic Police officer, the Delhi Fire Service received information about a fire in the police storehouse at Nehru Place at around 2 pm. According to eyewitnesses, a thick cloud of smoke was visible from a distance and the fire quickly engulfed the vehicles.

Initially, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) had said that about 50 vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers kept in the open area in the storehouse, caught fire.

It took more than 3 hours to control the fire

Delhi Police issued a statement saying that more than 400 vehicles were burnt in the fire. The statement said, “At the time of the incident, 2,667 confiscated vehicles were parked in the yard. About 400 vehicles were burnt to ashes. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known.

Vehicle owners cannot claim compensation

According to Delhi Police, this storehouse belongs to Delhi Traffic Police. A large number of two-wheelers and four-wheelers confiscated by the traffic police were kept in it. As soon as the fire broke out in the storehouse of Delhi Police, a cloud of smoke spread in the sky. The fire was so fierce that it quickly engulfed many vehicles.

Let us tell you that there is a provision of Delhi Police not giving any compensation in the case of burnt vehicles. Only the insurance amount can be claimed. He said that the cause of the fire has not been known yet.
