Delhi Police arrested 3 criminals after an encounter in Begumpura area, the criminals were shot in the leg

Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested three criminals during an encounter in Begumpur area today (March 20). Police had received information that some criminals were coming in a car, after which the police laid a trap to nab the criminals. When the criminals arrived, the police tried to stop them, but the criminals opened fire on the police team. Several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides, in which two criminals were injured after being shot in the leg. A total of three criminals were arrested, who have several criminal cases registered against them.

Earlier, in a dramatic action late night, Delhi Police arrested four criminals after an encounter after receiving information about illegal weapons being kept. The entire incident captured in CCTV has gone viral on social media, with Delhi Police also sharing it on its official X account. According to officials, on March 1, intelligence sources informed the Badarpur sub-division of Delhi Police that four suspects were roaming around with illegal weapons in a car with Delhi number.

Based on the information, taking immediate action, a police team of Sub-Division Badarpur was deployed at Lohia Bridge near Nala Road, Arpan Vihar. According to information received from the police, at around 12.10 pm, a grey car came from Arpan Vihar side, which was identified by the informant as a suspicious vehicle. When the police team attempted to stop the vehicle, a suspect sitting in the front passenger seat took out a pistol. Reacting immediately, the policemen shot at the front wheel of the car, successfully stopping the vehicle. After this, all the four suspects were caught and further search led to the recovery of two illegal pistols, two cartridges and a car.
