Delhi: The PWD department gave the same bungalow to Chief Minister Atishi in which former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal used to live.

6 Flag Staff Road bungalow has been allotted to Chief Minister Atishi in Delhi. PWD has formally allotted this bungalow to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. Atishi has been allotted the same bungalow in which former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal used to live. According to the information received from LG’s residence, the PWD department has handed over the keys of the bungalow to Atishi today.

After resigning from the post of Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal vacated this residence on 4 October. After this, Chief Minister Atishi went to live there. Meanwhile, a controversy arose over the official allotment of the bungalow. The matter has escalated so much that the Chief Minister had to take back her belongings. The video also went viral on social media. The matter took a political turn in no time.

Aam Aadmi Party had attacked

Aam Aadmi Party had alleged that the elected Chief Minister of Delhi was thrown out of her official residence at the behest of the Lieutenant Governor. A Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party said on Thursday that on the occasion of Navratri, a woman Chief Minister’s belongings were thrown out of the house. BJP wants to occupy the Chief Minister’s residence without winning the election.

Keys handed over after proper inventory process

According to PWD, after proper process of transfer-acquisition and inventory of goods was completed, 6 Flag Staff Road has been formally allotted to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. On the other hand, responding to the allegations of Aam Aadmi Party, BJP had said that there is no such rule which determines this residence as Chief Minister’s residence.

Chief Minister Atishi had come to live in this bungalow on October 6 itself. Her belongings had also arrived. Some meetings were also held. After this, a dispute started regarding its allotment. However, now PWD has officially handed over that bungalow to the Chief Minister.

‘AAP ministers are also ready to work on the streets’

He said, “If BJP gets peace by occupying the Chief Minister’s residence, then they are welcome. Our party does not do politics for bungalows or cars, if needed, AAP ministers and MLAs are ready to work from the streets.”

AAP had shared photos

Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party shared some pictures on Thursday and claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is signing files amidst the luggage tied at her Kalkaji residence. AAP leader Sanjay Singh targeted BJP by sharing photos on Instagram and said that it cannot take away Atishi’s passion to work for the people of Delhi.

At the same time, reacting to these pictures, BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that Atishi already has a bungalow on Mathura Road in her name and he called the party’s complaints a mere pretense.

At the same time, on Wednesday (October 9), Aam Aadmi Party had claimed that Atishi was forcibly forced to vacate 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow.
