Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan says that if we only accept the NEP, they will provide funds, but now they are ready to give Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 6,000 crore to accept the NEP.

He said that the central government is trying to impose Hindi on us. If you (Center) are trying to impose Hindi on Tamil Nadu, then I am now saying clearly that Tamil Nadu will have to face another language war.

Will not implement new education policy – CM Stalin

Tensions are increasing with the Center over the alleged imposition of Hindi through the National Education Policy (NEP). A war of words is being seen between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over Hindi. CM Stalin said that he will not implement the new education policy in the state at any cost, no matter what happens.

What is the whole controversy

A war of words has been going on for the past several days between Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin over the National Education Policy. Recently, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had expressed displeasure over Stalin’s refusal to implement the National Education Policy in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, Stalin is accusing the central government of forcibly implementing it in the state. The Education Minister had said that unless Tamil Nadu accepts the National Education Policy (NEP) and the three-language formula, it will not be given funds by the Central Government.
