Relations between the two countries have become tense as soon as former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was ousted. Now for the first time, tension has been seen on the border between India and Bangladesh. The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has tightened security to stop Bangladeshi intruders. Due to this, no Bangladeshi intruder is able to enter India. BSF officials are strictly interrogating every Bangladeshi suspect at the border. This has infuriated the Bangladesh government of Mohammad Yunus.

In the latest controversy, it is reported that the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma to Dhaka over the border tension. This development came a few hours after Bangladesh alleged that India was trying to fence five places on the India-Bangladesh border in violation of the bilateral agreement. Verma was seen entering the ministry at around 3 pm.
