Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement that the suspect was waving a weapon outside the White House, after which the security forces noticed him and took action. The incident is being investigated by the investigation team of the Internal Affairs Division of the Metropolitan Police Department.

It is being told that the mental condition of this person was not good. The local police had already informed the Secret Service that the man was coming to Washington DC. After this, Secret Service agents set out to find the man. His car was seen near 17th and F Street NW late at night and he was walking nearby. This man was the same as the description given by the police to the Secret Service officers.
