Mexico City: The ground of Mexico shook with strong tremors of earthquake. An earthquake of 6.2 magnitude struck the southwestern part of Mexico this morning. There was no serious damage or loss of life due to the earthquake. The US Geological Survey gave this information.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the southeast of Aquila
The US Geological Survey said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 21 kilometers southeast of Aquila, near the border of Colima and Michoacan provinces, at a depth of 34 kilometers. Mexican President Claudia Seinbaum said on social media ‘X’ that emergency response teams reviewed their protocols after the earthquake. She wrote, “There has been no new incident.”
No news of any damage
Mexico’s Social Security Institute said that there was no news of any damage in the capital Mexico City. Mexico’s National Seismological Service said that 329 aftershocks were felt till 9 am local time on Sunday. He said the quake had a magnitude of 6.1.
