The results of the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assembly elections are being announced today. Initial trends have started coming. Leaders of both BJP and Congress parties are claiming to form the government in both the states. In such a situation, you can read here what each leader has said. Elections have been held on 90-90 seats in both the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. The majority figure is 46. However, there will also be five nominated MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, the majority figure and the equation for forming the government can change. Because of this, the results of Kashmir elections are going to be very interesting.
Kavinder Gupta claimed to form the government
Former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said, “BJP has taken the people of Jammu and Kashmir forward on the path of development, freed them from stone pelting. Liberated them from separatism, terrorism, corruption and dynasty. So the way we have moved from bullet to ballot, from terrorism to tourism, people have voted for BJP and it will emerge as the largest party and we will form the government.” Regarding the exit polls, he said, “There is a difference between the exit polls and our figures. We have been among the people…we know the opinion of the people…the results will be in favour of the BJP.”
Ravindra Raina claimed to win 30-35 seats in Kashmir
Jammu Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina said that BJP will win 30 to 35 seats. There are 15 to 16 candidates in Kashmir who have been supported by the BJP and they will win. We will be successful in forming the government. Ravinder Raina will win and so will the BJP. On Farooq Abdullah’s statement, he said that when the bill regarding Jammu and Kashmir was being passed in the Parliament, he was an MP at that time, why did he not oppose it, whatever happens will be according to the Constitution.
Congress candidate claimed to win 70 seats
Congress candidate from Kaithal Aditya Surjewala has claimed to win 70 seats. He said, “Exit polls say we will win 60 seats, but I say we will win 70 seats, we will win Kaithal seat too. Everyone had the same feeling in their hearts – change. They are tired of the last 10 years of BJP, this corrupt government, this disgusting government. They wanted change. I know that Congress will bring that change, that justice.”
Results will be like Chhattisgarh – Gyan Chand Gupta
BJP candidate from Panchkula, Gyan Chand Gupta said, “We have the blessings of Mata Mansa Devi and I am confident that the results will be very good and I will win the Panchkula seat. Every party claims to win but according to the inputs we are getting, BJP is going to form the government for the third time. As far as exit polls are concerned, in Chhattisgarh too the polls were unfavourable and Congress was seen forming the government. But BJP formed the government there. Here too BJP will make the ‘lotus’ bloom for the third time. Aam Aadmi Party contested the elections only for show. But I don’t think they will win any seat. But elections are elections, every party contests elections only to win.”
