Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The countdown for the second phase of voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 has started. The election campaign for the second phase will stop from this evening. After this, on April 26, voting will be held on 88 Lok Sabha seats in 13 states. The results of these seats will also be declared simultaneously on June 4. The Election Commission has made complete preparations to ensure that voting takes place in a peaceful and fair manner.
On the other hand, after the date of withdrawal of nominations for the third phase of voting has passed, the picture of the total candidates has also become clear. Under the third phase, voting will be held for 95 seats in 12 states/union territories on May 7.
1351 candidates will contest on 95 seats
A total of 1351 candidates are contesting for these 95 seats in the third phase. According to the Election Commission, a total of 2963 nomination forms were submitted for the third phase of voting. After their investigation, only 1563 orms were found to be correct. Of these, 212 withdrew their names, after which 1351 candidates are left in the fray.
