Engineer Akashdeep Gupta died under suspicious circumstances in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He worked for the BrahMos missile project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Akashdeep Gupta was a systems engineer with the BrahMos missile project. Family members reported that Akashdeep’s health suddenly deteriorated and he died at his Lucknow residence on Tuesday night. The cause of death is believed to be a heart attack, although police stated that the exact cause will be clear only after the postmortem report.
After Akashdeep’s health suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday night, his family immediately rushed him to Lokbandhu Hospital in Alambagh, where he died during treatment. Upon receiving information from the hospital administration, Alambagh police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and sent it for a postmortem. Alambagh Inspector Subhash Chandra stated that the investigation is ongoing and the legal process will be completed, taking all aspects into account.
Akashdeep lived in Delhi and had returned home for Diwali.
Akashdeep was originally from Om Nagar, Alambagh, Lucknow. He lived in Delhi with his wife, Bharti Gupta, where he worked as a systems engineer on the BrahMos missile project at the DRDO. Bharti works at Canara Bank in Delhi. They married in April this year. Akashdeep visited his ancestral home in Lucknow with his wife for Diwali.
Akashdeep had received a gold medal in his B.Tech.
Akashdeep’s father, Kuldeep Gupta, who retired from the Uttar Pradesh Police two months ago, said his son was very bright. Akashdeep had received a gold medal in his B.Tech. Kuldeep became emotional and said, “My son was posted in Delhi. He came home with his daughter-in-law on Diwali. We all celebrated the festival happily together. After dinner, everyone went to their rooms. After some time, his health suddenly deteriorated. We immediately rushed him to the hospital, but after a while, the doctors told us that he was no more.”
Akashdeep’s family consists of his parents and a sister. His sudden death has left the family in shock. According to family members and neighbors, Akashdeep was a friendly and talented man who had achieved significant success in his career at a young age. The police have launched a preliminary investigation and are awaiting the postmortem report. Inspector Subhash Chandra said, “We are investigating all the facts. The exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report comes.”
