The exit polls that came before the results of the Maharashtra-Jharkhand assembly elections became a big blow for the All India Alliance. In the exit polls, NDA is seen forming the government in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand, apart from this, BJP is also seen dominating the All India Alliance in the UP by-elections. However, these are just estimates, the formal results will be released on November 23.
Voting was held in one phase on 288 seats of Maharashtra. There was a fierce competition between Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi here. This was also special because this time the Maharashtra elections were like a litmus test for both the factions of Shiv Sena and NCP along with BJP-Congress. The same was the situation in Jharkhand, where the government has been changing in every election for the last 24 years. Soren was hopeful that this time he could return to power once again, but the estimates seen in the Poll of Polls are telling something else.
