Decision comes after Jyoti’s meeting with PK
Pawan Singh’s new announcement comes at a time when his wife, Jyoti Singh, met with political strategist-turned-politician and Jansuraj Party founder Prashant Kishore at his residence in Sheikhpura on Friday. Regarding this meeting, Jyoti Singh stated that she had no electoral motive behind the meeting.

After meeting Prashant Kishore, Jyoti Singh said, “I have not come to participate in any election or for a ticket. The injustice that has been done to me should not happen to any other woman. I want to be the voice of all women who are facing injustice.” She said that she wants to work for the rights and respect of women in society. It was for this purpose that she came to meet Prashant Kishore.

Prashant Kishore said that Jyoti Singh had also met him two years ago with some of her friends. He also clarified, “The Jansuraj Party does not bend its rules for anyone. Dr. Vijay Gupta has already been declared the party’s candidate from the Ara constituency, and there will be no change in that.”

First, the Lok Sabha and now the Assembly
Speculations began in political circles that his dream of contesting elections in Bihar might be dashed due to the growing dispute with his wife, Jyoti Singh. During last year’s Lok Sabha elections, the BJP gave Pawan Singh a ticket from the Asansol constituency in West Bengal, but his image of being vulgar, misogynistic, and portraying women in a bad light went against him. The BJP subsequently withdrew the ticket.

Subsequently, Pawan Singh announced his candidacy for the Karakat Lok Sabha seat in Bihar as an independent candidate. Due to his rebellious stance, the BJP expelled him from the party. He lost despite a strong election performance. However, he returned to the BJP a year and a half later, but the dispute with Jyoti Singh continued to embroil him in controversy. This proved to be a turning point for him. Now his dream of contesting the assembly elections and becoming an MLA also got shattered.
