Farmers Leaders Meeting With Central Ministers: A big news related to the farmers’ movement has come to light. There will be a meeting between farmers and the government in Chandigarh on Thursday (15 February) at 5 pm. This information was given by General Secretary of Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher. Speaking to the media on Wednesday (February 14) evening, he said that we are ready for talks because the government wants to talk. He told that a letter inviting talks has been received from the Central Government. After the letter and positive statement of Anurag Thakur, farmer leaders have agreed to the third round of meeting.

These central leaders will be included
Pandher said that Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Nityanand Rai and Arjun Munda will be present in the meeting to be held in Chandigarh on Thursday. He said that assurance has been given to normalize the situation prevailing with the farmers at Shambhu border, after which we have held a meeting among ourselves. We will also discuss with central government ministers

‘We don’t want confrontation’
Sarwan Singh Pandher has said that we do not want conflict. We want the matter to be resolved. We came to know about Anurag Thakur’s statement, after that we talked to both our farmer leaders at the forum and took the mandate that if the government wants to talk, then we should talk. But the kind of police action that was taking place made us feel that the central government did not want to talk to us. The way we were being shelled with drones. For this reason we were not ready to talk.

He said that Punjab Police officers took us forward to talk to the Haryana government regarding shelling, but during that time rubber bullets were fired targeting farmer leaders. For this reason we are saying that the attitude of the Central Government is not right. When we are saying that we will sit peacefully and will not move forward, then the Central Government should not shelling us. The central government is trying to provoke us.
