After Operation Sindoor, the Foreign Secretary gave information about the relationship with Pakistan in front of the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs on Monday. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal and other officials of the Foreign Ministry were present in this meeting. About 24 MPs participated in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.
According to information received from sources, in the committee meeting, the issue of the statement of the Foreign Minister was raised by the opposition MPs on the basis of which Pakistan is being accused of giving information about the attack.
On this, the Foreign Secretary told the committee that when we attacked 9 places on the first day. After that, Pakistan was informed that we have attacked their terrorist bases. Misri said that there was no discussion with Pakistan on further military action. Misri said that the statement of Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has been quoted out of contest.
Trump has no role in the ceasefire
The opposition MPs also raised the issue of stopping military operations during Operation Sindoor with the Foreign Secretary. On the issue of military action being stopped, the Foreign Secretary said that we have no role in it, military action was stopped on Pakistan’s request.
On the issue of mediation for ceasefire by US President Donald Trump, the Foreign Secretary said that the ceasefire happened on a completely bilateral basis, there was no role of any third party in it.
On being asked about the active role of US President Donald Trump in the India-Pakistan issue, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said in a light-hearted manner that I do not know, he is not taking permission from me, that much is certain. On the issue of damage during Operation Sindoor, the Foreign Secretary told the committee that due to security reasons, we cannot give any information about it at the moment.
No good relations with Turkey
Foreign Secretary Misri informed the Parliamentary Committee about the present relations with Turkey and future relations with Pakistan. It was told that historically India’s relations with Turkey have not been good for the last few decades and how are the relations with Pakistan. This does not need to be told to anyone.
