Former Indian cricket team cricketer Kedar Jadhav has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Kedar Jadhav joined the BJP on Tuesday in Mumbai in the presence of Maharashtra government minister and state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule. After joining the BJP, Kedar Jadhav has said that whatever responsibility he gets from the party, he will try to fulfill it with full honesty.
What did Kedar Jadhav say on coming into politics?
After joining the BJP, Kedar Jadhav said- “Since the year 2014, when the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to the Center, they have received love and support. The kind of achievements PM Modi and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis have achieved, I think it is very inspiring and my goal is to follow in their footsteps and make whatever contribution I can for the BJP. I am confident that whatever responsibility I get, I will try to fulfill it with full honesty.”
What did the BJP say?
On Kedar Jadhav joining BJP, BJP said- “BJP is the only party in the country which promotes the feelings of nationalism, Hindutva and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ in the society. This is the reason why a large number of prominent officials and workers of various parties from Sangli, Satara and Hingoli districts including former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav joined the ‘BJP’ family. The efforts being made for the development of the party are succeeding.”

Along with former cricketer Kedar Jadhav, a large number of prominent officials and workers of various parties from Sangli, Satara and Hingoli districts have joined BJP. On this occasion, many leaders like State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Executive President Ravi Dada Chavan, MP Ashok Chavan, Minister Atul Save and Atul Bhosale were present.
