Police have arrested a German citizen in Goa. Police have informed that a 45-year-old German citizen has been caught with drugs worth Rs 23.95 lakh in North Goa district. The name of the accused German citizen is Sebastian Hessler and he was living in Goa on a tourist visa since November last year. Police have arrested the accused from a rented house.
Drug consignment recovered from the room
Police have informed on Tuesday that a German citizen named Sebastian Hessler has been arrested. Police have recovered LSD blot paper, ketamine powder, ketamine liquid and two kilograms of marijuana during a raid at the accused’s rented house. The value of this drug consignment has been estimated at Rs 23,95,000.
How was the accused arrested?
In fact, Goa’s Anti-Narcotics Cell had arrested Agni Sengupta, a resident of West Bengal, last month. Agni Sengupta is accused of possessing commercial quantities of MDMA and various quantities of cocaine worth Rs 7.5 lakh. During the investigation of this case, the German citizen was identified and arrested.
According to the police, while investigating Sengupta’s case, intelligence was collected with the help of human and technical surveillance. Based on this, the German citizen was identified. After surveillance for a week, a German citizen named Sebastian Hessler was arrested on Monday in a raid at his rented house in Small Vagator village of North Goa. The accused has been arrested with narcotics.
