Gopalganj Road Accident: A horrific road accident took place in Gopalganj, Bihar on Sunday (April 28), where three buses of security forces going from Gopalganj to Supaul met with an accident. Three soldiers including a bus driver have died in the accident. More than a dozen soldiers are seriously injured. The incident took place near NH-27 near Barhima turn of Sidhwalia police station area. There was a lot of chaos at the spot after the accident.
Policemen were going to Supaul to conduct elections
It is being told that 242 male and female district force personnel were going to Supaul in three buses from the police line to conduct elections. On the way, everyone was having breakfast after stopping the bus near Barhima turn, when a container coming at high speed hit a bus from behind. Due to the collision between one bus, two other buses collided with each other. In this accident, the driver named Ashok Oraon died on the spot, while soldiers Pawan Mahato and Digvijay died during treatment.
More than a dozen policemen are seriously injured in the incident. Five ambulances and a team of doctors have been sent to the spot by the health department. While alerting the Sadar Hospital, an ambulance is being brought to the hospital for the treatment of the injured. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was an uproar among the family members of the policemen.
Many police personnel trapped between buses
The accident was so painful that many police personnel got stuck between the two buses and efforts to rescue them continued for hours. Meanwhile, SP Swarn Prabhat and DM Mohammad Maqsood Alam reached Sadar Hospital and took stock of the incident and said that the relief and rescue work on the spot is being done on a war footing.
