Gorakhpur Crime:A case of rape of a girl from Azamgarh district has come to light on the banks of Ami river in Ranukhor village of Sahjanwa area of Gorakhpur. It is alleged that the youth committed the crime on the pretext of helping the girl who had left home in anger.
At 4 am on Friday, the girl went to a nearby village and informed about the incident. After this, the police and family members were informed. Due to injuries on the face and body of the girl, she was sent to CHC for treatment. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case of rape against an unknown person and is trying to identify the accused.
A 20-year-old girl from Jeyanpur area of Azamgarh left her house in anger at around 7 am on Thursday. The family was searching for her when a young man met her on the way. He asked to drop her home. Then he took her to Gorakhpur road by putting her in a bus. At night, the young man fed her some intoxicating substance. After that, the young man took the girl to the forest on the banks of the river and raped her. At dawn, the girl reached the village and started banging on the door. When people came out, they were stunned to see the girl naked. There were scratch marks on her face and body.
The villagers gave clothes to the girl and immediately informed the police and the number of the family members given by the girl. The police sent the girl to CHC for treatment. On receiving the information, the father also reached the police station. On receiving the information of the incident, SP North Jitendra Srivastava, CO GIDA Anurag Singh, SO Madan Mohan Mishra inspected the spot. CO GIDA Anurag Singh said that on the complaint of the victim’s father, a case of rape has been registered against an unknown person.
