Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Tuesday that an important decision will be taken soon regarding the pending promotions of officers and employees, which will benefit about four lakh government employees. Mohan Yadav admitted that promotions were hampered due to obstruction for the last eight years.

CM Mohan Yadav said in a video message on X handle that I am happy that the demand for promotion of government employees-officers of the state, pending for the last 8 years, is going to be fulfilled soon. We have found a way for promotion by discussing at different levels. We are soon going to announce the good news of promotion of more than 4 lakh employees-officers.
4 lakh employees will get benefit
However, at the same time he regretted that many officers and employees waiting for career progression retired. Mohan Yadav said that after discussion with the ministers, the government found a way to resolve the issue of promotion. He said, “The officers and employees of the state will be promoted soon. In this regard, an important decision will be taken in the interest of the officers and employees in the cabinet meeting to be held soon, which will benefit about four lakh officers and employees. The promotion of officers and employees in the Madhya Pradesh government was stopped after an order of the High Court regarding the reservation roster.

At the same time, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to double the government assistance given to registered animal shelters from Rs 20 per animal per day to Rs 40. Along with this, the cabinet also approved a policy to deal with destitute animals. Officials said that the Gau Ashray Pratishthan Policy, 2025 was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, which aims to deal with the problem of destitute cows. This policy will be implemented by the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department.
