Gujarat: Air Force’s Jaguar fighter plane crashes in Jamnagar, one pilot safe in the accident

The Indian Air Force’s Jaguar fighter plane crashed on Wednesday. This accident happened on Wednesday in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This fighter plane of the Indian Air Force fell into a field near Suwarda in Jamnagar, due to which there is news of the plane catching fire. A video related to this accident has also surfaced. Defense sources have said that detailed information about this incident is awaited.

There were two pilots on board the plane

The Superintendent of Police of Jamnagar, Gujarat, i.e. SP Prem Sukh Delu has given information about the crash of the Air Force fighter plane. He said – “There were two pilots on board the Air Force’s (Jaguar) trainer plane. One pilot has been rescued and taken to the hospital. The operation to rescue the other pilot is underway.”

The plane was on a training mission

According to PTI, police officials have informed that the Jaguar fighter plane crashed in a village near the Jamnagar station of the Indian Air Force on Wednesday night during a training mission. One pilot of the plane ejected safely. At the same time, the second pilot is missing. According to SP Premsukh Delu, the fighter plane crashed in an open field in Suwarda village, about 12 km from Jamnagar city, and caught fire.

Search for missing pilot begins

The reason for the crash of the Indian Air Force’s Jaguar fighter plane has not been ascertained yet. Police have said that the plane caught fire after the crash landing. One pilot came out safely but the other pilot is missing. Police and firefighters have reached the spot. The search for the missing pilot has been started.

Jamnagar Collector gave information
Jamnagar Collector Ketan Thakkar said – “An Air Force plane has crashed in Jamnagar district. One pilot has been rescued and admitted to the hospital. Firefighters are present at the spot and have extinguished the fire. Air Force team, firefighters, police and other teams are present here for rescue. The civilian area has not been affected, the plane crashed in an open field.”
