Rupani’s wife Anjali Rupani expressed her displeasure and said that her husband served the party and the organization till the last moment of his life. In such a situation, it was expected that the entire expenses of his last journey and tribute meeting would be borne by the party. But, on the contrary, the entire burden was put on the family, which is very sad.

Union Minister and Gujarat BJP President CR Patil said that he will investigate the matter and get detailed information from the party. Patil admitted that Rupani’s contribution to the party and the state was very big and it is not right to create such a controversy.

Sources say that the Rupani family, under compulsion, paid about Rs 20 lakh related to the last journey and tribute meeting. However, no clear statement has come from the party yet as to why the expenses were put on the family.
