Gurugram Factory Fire:-A massive fire broke out after a massive blast in a fire extinguisher factory in Gurugram’s Daulatabad industrial area late Friday night. Two workers were burnt to death in this accident, while six people were injured.
The corporation does not provide facilities by calling it an illegal area
The old industries are following the standards of industrial safety and fire safety of the Municipal Corporation. There are no such obligations in it. In such a situation, if the old industries fulfill the standards of fire safety corporation, then they have to spend 5 to 30 lakh rupees. Daulatabad was included in the master plan of 2012. Till the year 2017, industries used to get factory license, fire NOC for passing the map. From the year 2018, everything was stopped by calling it an illegal area. Similarly, there are Basai, Kadipur and Bahrampur areas.
NOC is not given due to building completion certificate
The Municipal Corporation does not give NOC to the four industrial areas by calling them illegal areas. Due to this, maps are not passed for building construction in these areas. From factory license to fire NOC is not available. Entrepreneurs allege that the Municipal Corporation takes commercial property tax, but does not give NOC. In such a situation, entrepreneurs are worried about fire incidents.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. More than 10 fire brigade vehicles are present at the spot since night.
According to the information, the factory caught fire at 2 am on Friday night. The fire was so terrible that the flames were visible up to 3 km away. The flames and the explosion were so strong that some people were found lying in nearby factories more than 100 meters away from the spot. Police and fire brigade teams are still engaged in rescuing the people trapped inside. In this accident, heavy iron gutters, angles and heavy iron sheets fell in more than 10 factories nearby. There has been huge loss in this too.
After getting information about the incident, DCP Karan Goyal, who reached the spot in the morning, has confirmed that 2 people died and six people were injured in this accident.
The fear of entrepreneurs proved true
Let us tell you that on June 15, Hindustan newspaper had published a news related to the concern of entrepreneurs about fire in summer due to non-availability of fire NCO. In fact, many industries in the city including Gurugram industrial area are worried about fire in summer due to lack of fire NOC. Entrepreneurs have been facing problems for a long time due to the double standards of the Municipal Corporation. At the same time, after incidents of fire, insurance companies do not compensate the industries for the loss caused by fire, citing the lack of fire NOC given by the fire department of the Municipal Corporation.
One thousand factories in four industrial areas: There are Daulatabad, Basai, Kadipur and Bahrampur industrial areas in Gurugram city area. Here new industrial units are following the standards of fire NOC of the Municipal Corporation. In this, apart from keeping fire extinguishers in the industrial premises, arrangements for fire hydrant or water tank and pump have to be made. Fire safety related pipelines also have to be laid in the industrial premises. It is also necessary to get a building completion certificate from the corporation. Initially, the Municipal Corporation gives provisional fire NOC to the industries for one year. After that they get permanent fire NOC.
