PM rode elephant and jeep
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an elephant and jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam on Saturday morning. Let us tell you that PM Modi’s elephant safari started at 5.45 in the morning. During his first visit to the UNESCO declared World Heritage Site, Prime Minister Modi first took an elephant ride in the Mihimukh area of the park’s ‘Central Kohora Range’ and then went on a jeep safari inside the same range. He was also accompanied by Horticulture Director Sonali Ghosh and other senior forest officials. The Prime Minister had reached Kaziranga on Friday evening on a two-day visit to the state.
PM will inaugurate the Statue of Valor
PM Modi will return to Jorhat in the afternoon and inaugurate the ‘Statue of Bravery’, a 125-foot tall statue of the great Ahom commander Lachit Borphukan. Officials said Modi will then visit Meleng Meteli Pothar in Jorhat, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of central and state projects worth about Rs 18,000 crore. The Prime Minister will also address a public meeting and after that he will leave for West Bengal.
