Happy Republic Day 2025: Today the 76th Republic Day is being celebrated across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first reached the War Memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs. After this he reached Kartavya Path to participate in the Republic Day parade. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu and Chief Guest Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reached Kartavya Path sitting in a carriage.

This time the theme of Republic Day is Golden India: Heritage and Development. The parade started with the cultural program of the Ministry of Culture. 300 talented artists from all over the country participated in it. After this, the marching contingent of the Armed Forces of Indonesia passed through Kartavya Path. India made a grand display of its military power in the 76th Republic Day celebrations. It included special marching contingents, missiles and various indigenous weapons. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto also witnessed this as the chief guest.

The first military contingent to lead the cavalry squad was 61 Cavalry, led by Lieutenant Ahan Kumar. Established in the year 1953, the 61 Cavalry is the only serving active cavalry regiment in the world. After this, nine mechanized contingents and nine marching contingents paraded.

Tank T-90 Bhishma, NAG missile system, BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, Pinaka multi-launcher rocket system, Agnibaan multi-barrel rocket launcher, Akash weapon system, integrated battlefield surveillance system and all-terrain vehicle (Chetak) also became part of the parade. Light special vehicle Bajrang, vehicle mounted infantry mortar system Airavat, quick reaction force vehicles Nandighosh and Tripurantak and short-span bridging system were also displayed.
